Tiles
Today we saw tiles, lots of tiles at the National Tile Museum - Musea Nacional Azulejo.
We wanted to go to the Jardim Botânico de Lisboa. Upon our arrival we were told that it’s raining, which we had observed. However, the more important point she made was that it’s slippery and steep. We took one look at each other and thought, nah….that’s an ER visit waiting to happen. On we walked to find the #28 tram to the end of the line.
From there we walked. It was 40 minutes to the tile museum. It was after noon and we had not yet eaten, and decided we would find a spot on the way.
Chickpea gnocchi and sweet potatoes with bacon and feta.
From there, The Tile museum
After visiting the museum, we took the bus back to our Airbnb in Rato and chilled out for awhile. I actually wrote postcards that I’m going to send in the post!! Anyone remember those? Kinda weird, right? Anyone can read what you wrote.
At ~9:30pm decide we were hungry. We made it across the street to a Georgian restaurant at 10:15. They closed at 11. Delicious food and wine.
